They said it could never be done. And who knows, maybe it can’t. But they’re going to try. After Elton John (LOVE Rocketman!) and Freddie Mercury (thought Bohemian Rhapsody was OK), it’s now the turn of David Bowie to get his biopic did. Yes, five years since he died - almost to the day! - Stardust readies itself for release on all your favourite streaming channels (and some you’re just so-so about).

Starring Johnny Flynn as the man himself (Best Actor at Sundance, thankyouverymuch - well, they got the teeth spot on!), the film catches Bowie at the age of 24 as the idea of Ziggy Stardust was percolating in his head as he was on his way to break Her Majesty’s United States of the Americas.

The Times gave it four stars adding that it was a ‘remarkably confident, smart and resilient film with the sense of soul that its fascinating subject deserves,’ which is nice, though ‘resilient’ is a funny word to use. But who cares what we think when there is a brand new trailer to look at, right?

Stardust will be released on digital platforms on January 15.
