Three gay boys rocking around 80s London? We’d watch that.

It's A Sin.jpg

Here are some names to bandy about. Russell T. Davies, of Queer As Folk, A Very English Scandal, Dr. Who and Years and Years fame; Olly Alexander of Years & Years (not to be confused…), Stephen Fry, Keeley Hawes, Neil Patrick Harris… Impressed? You should be.

They have all come together for a new drama series called It’s A Sin, after the Pet Shop Boys song (we’re assuming), written by Russell and starring the others. The story of three young gay men (oh, that got your attention!) living through the AIDS crisis of the 80s in London all determined to have a bloody good time and never mind what the universe throws at them (there’s a lesson in there somewhere).

Slated for next year but it’s not clear where yet (we’re imagining Channel 4, but who are we?), it’s been sold around the world and is set to be a global smash and simultaneously bring back shaved heads, ACT UP T-shirts and Jimmy Somerville dancing.
